A Bit About Donna Marie

Stunning young Wexford Irish songstress Donna Marie is becoming quite an “overnight” pop sensation.
Donna Marie was a 2009 Finalist in RTE TV’s “All Ireland Talent Show”, has a wonderful debut solo album (“My Voice”) just recorded, which will be showcased and available at this concert AND also has an upcoming performance on a yet to be announced national TV New Year’s Eve’s show – which will coincide with the countrywide launch of the album in early 2010. This Wexford girls star is certainly in the ascendancy! The “All Ireland Talent Show” judges described her as “the amazing chanteuse from the east” & “the most polished talent on the show”.

She is an “overnight” sensation – if you leave out the fact that it is twelve long years since she first stepped on stage (aged just eleven) with her bass guitar and distinctive voice to join the family band. The “livewire” from Enniscorthy” benefits from having been surrounded by music since her birth.
Her parents reared her on “country” music, but like all young people her own interest in genres expanded as she grew. In her personal life Donna Marie’s main passion is for her beautiful young children, although music definitely comes a very close second. She is an amiable, almost shy young mother-of-three who seems to lose any inhibition onstage and blow everyone away with the powerhouse voice coming from her tiny frame. Best known as a band member of southeast legends Breeze Junkie / Breeze 52, she is making the transfer from a talented and key band member to a leading solo artist.
